Clarification on Cross-Platform Requirement (iOS-only MVP)
Hi Shipyard Team,
I noticed that several briefs mention “cross-platform” support. I would like to clarify what level of implementation is expected for this requirement.
Specifically, does “cross-platform” mean that teams are required to fully develop and test both iOS and Android versions of the app? Or would submitting a fully functional MVP on a single platform (for example, iOS only) still satisfy the requirement if the architecture and design are technically cross-platform ready?
I’m asking because this directly affects our technology stack and development scope. I want to make sure we align with the judging criteria and avoid any potential scoring penalties due to platform choices.
Thank you very much for your clarification!
and also, the discord link dead:)

Hey! Judging is not based on iOS vs. Android, but on the audience fit, user experience, monetization potential, innovation and technical quality. Submitting a fully functional MVP on a single platform is perfectly acceptable but you could include info in your submission on what the path to developing the app on another platform would look like.
P.s. what discord link are you referring to? thanks!

Would an app that leverages an existing messaging app qualify? ie if integrates in with Whatsapp, Telegram, etc?

Sure - the only hard requirement on functionality we have is that the app includes the ReveneueCat SDK. Note the below r.e. any other third party integegrations:
"Third Party Integrations: If a Project integrates any third-party SDK, APIs and/or data, Entrant must be authorized to use them in accordance with any terms and conditions or licensing requirements of the tool."

Thanks for confirming that apps leveraging WhatsApp/Telegram are allowed! I have a question about the submission requirements.
The rules state we need to "Provide TestFlight or Google Play Internal Testing link to the working application." However, my app is a WhatsApp chatbot that users interact with directly through WhatsApp (no separate mobile app to download).
What should I provide for the submission link instead? Options I'm considering:
- A public WhatsApp Business number/QR code judges can message
- A demo video showing the bot in action
